Our Shell Pearl is natural Sea shell mother of pearl, made from the inner lining of oyster shells, ground to a fine powder, shaped, and coated with natural pearl nacre which eventually builds up and forms into a pearl, then a protective coating to give it lustre. Because the way they made it, it is more durable than natural pearl, hence this is not faux pearl.
